He was 60.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithout question, Aaron Pryor was one of the most thrilling fighters to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves. His aggressive style made him a fan favorite and whenever he stepped into the ring it was surely \u2018Hawk Time,\u2019\u201d said Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy. \u201cThe Hall of Fame offers our condolences to his family and joins the <!--more-->worldwide boxing community in mourning his passing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Born Oct. 20, 1955, in Cincinnati, OH, Pryor turned pro in 1976. On August 2, 1980 he scored a 4th round knockout over WBA junior welterweight king Antonio Cervantes to begin an impressive title reign that saw him defend the strap eight times before adding the IBF title to his collection in 1984. During his career Pryor compiled a 39-1 (35 KOs) record with wins over Alfonso Frazer (TKO 5), Gaetan Hart (TKO 6), Lennox Blackmoore (TKO 2) and Miguel Montilla (TKO 12).
