Beach II is saddened to announce the death of Trooper Timothy P. Pratt.<\/p>\n<p>Trooper Pratt, age 55, died Wednesday morning as a result of injuries suffered when he was struck by a vehicle on Ballard Road in Wilton.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">At approximately 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Trooper Pratt was assisting the driver of a tractor trailer on Ballard Road, near the Wilton barracks, when he was struck by a passing car and critically injured. Trooper Pratt\u00a0was initially treated at Saratoga Hospital, and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he died at approximately 9:30 a.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\"><a href=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/?attachment_id=74552\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-74552\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-74552\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Trooper-Pratt1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"trooper-pratt1\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Trooper-Pratt1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Trooper-Pratt1-150x100.jpg 150w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Trooper-Pratt1-900x599.jpg 900w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Trooper-Pratt1-400x266.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Trooper Pratt became a member of the New York State Police on March 30, 1987. <\/span>Trooper Pratt was assigned to the Traffic Incident Management unit at the State Police station in Wilton. He served his entire career with the State Police in Troop G.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">He served in the United States Air Force from 1979-1986.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">Trooper Pratt lived in South Glens Falls, and\u00a0is survived by his fianc\u00e9e, two sons and a daughter.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>New York State Police Superintendent George P.
