Paro, 24, left his residence alone to go hunting in an area behind his residence, located at 310 Kehoe Road in the Town of Sandy Creek.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"LEFT\">It has been determined Kristopher Paro was up in a tree stand when he heard what he thought was a deer approximately 100 yards away. <!--more-->Unbeknownst to Kristopher Paro, his father, Kevin D. Paro, 58, had entered the woods to hunt a short time earlier. Kevin Paro was mistaken for a\u00a0deer and was struck in the chest by the .270 rifle. He was transported to Oswego Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n<p>A joint investigation is continuing at this hour with officers from the state Department of Environmental Conservation and the State Police Forensic Identification Unit.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"LEFT\">\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"EN\">State Police were also assisted at the scene by the Oswego County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Department of Environmental Conservation, and Sandy Creek Fire and Rescue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" align=\"LEFT\"><span lang=\"EN\">The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UPDATED INFORMATION: The investigation has revealed that on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016, at approximately 4:41 p.m., Kristopher D.
