It was reported that the driver of the truck exited, approached the victim\u2019s vehicle, and<!--more--> threatened the victim with a knife for no apparent reason. The suspect then drove away. No injuries were reported by the victim.<\/p>\n<p>The victim retained pertinent information which led to the identity of the suspect.<\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 19, 2016, at approx 7:30 p.m., Lance C. Gardner, 47, of Front Street, Vernon, was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>Gardner was processed without incident and released on appearance tickets returnable in Vernon Town Court Dec. 14, 2016, at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation revealed that Gardner and the victim had no knowledge of or relationship with one another.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Nov. 19, 2016, at approx 5:30 a.m., State Police in Oneida responded to a report of a menacing that occurred on Cooper Street in the village of Vernon.
