\nStory Time for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers\u00a0is held in the children\u2019s story room, led by Diana Cassulis.\u00a0 Story Time for\u00a0preschoolers will be held in the community room and led by guest teacher Sharon Morley.\u00a0Story Time is held every Tuesday<\/span><\/span> from mid-September through July, unless otherwise closed for a holiday or emergency.<\/i><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve recently welcomed Amy Sommers as the newest member of our Hamilton Public Library team! Amy is serving the community in two different roles with us as both Program and Events Coordinator and Digital Services Coordinator too!<\/p>\n

Amy and her family have been Hamiltonians\u00a0for the past 10 years and feel strongly, as we do, that the Library is truly the hub of the\u00a0community. Having traveled abroad extensively, visiting libraries along the way, Amy brings a\u00a0broad perspective on how each library is unique to the community and society they serve, while\u00a0offering a comforting\u00a0familiarity across the board.<\/p>\n

Amy has a strong background in\u00a0environmental science and has had a great deal of experience planning and facilitating programs and events for all ages– most recently through her volunteer work as co-coordinator for the\u00a0winter farmers\u2019 market in Poolville.<\/p>\n

As our Program and Events Coordinator, Amy is continuing our tradition of quality community\u00a0event offerings and art exhibitions. She is already hard at work preparing for the Summer\u00a0Reading Program! We hope you\u2019ll join us for some special events over the next few months to meet Amy and extend a warm welcome to her.<\/p>\n

As our Digital Coordinator, Amy will also host a variety of technology classes on a regular basis at the Library. Additionally, if you have questions about using the Library equipment and digital resources, please stop by or make reservations to meet with her. Amy is available to offer technical advice and instruction several times throughout the week. Call ahead\u00a0(315) 332-1630 or email her at ASommers@midyork.org to confirm her availability if you are making a special trip to the Library for technical assistance.<\/p>\n

The Library is normally open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit or call the Library (315) 824-3060 during these hours for assistance.
