Library Closures: We are closed on Monday October 9 to observe Columbus Day.<\/p>\n

15th Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest: Stop in to the library and pick up your pumpkin coloring contest entry starting Monday October 2! You have until October 21 at 4pm to turn in your creations for judging. Open to toddler to 6th graders! Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Play Mahjong!: Like to play Mahjong? Want to learn how to play without using the computer?\u00a0Willing to teach young and old! Join the fun every Monday afternoon at the library! The group meets Monday October 2, 16, 23 and 30 from 1:00pm-3:00pm.<\/p>\n

Kiddies Korner: Bring the little ones in on Tuesday October 3 at 10:00am for our preschool story hour! We are having fun with the topic, \u201cCuddly Bears!\u201d Stories, finger plays, a craft and more!<\/p>\n

Kiddies Korner: Bring the little ones in on Tuesday October 10 at 10:00am for our preschool story hour! Bring the little ones in to hear stories about \u201cScarecrows!\u201d Make a craft, finger plays and more!<\/p>\n

The Great Egg Drop: We are partnering with the Morrisville Fire Department to bring an event\u00a0of \u201cegg-y\u201d proportions! Join us for our Great Egg Drop Contest on Friday October 13 at 6:30pm! Can you create a \u201cprotective container\u201d to house a raw egg? The event will take\u00a0place at the Morrisville Fire House where we will place a raw egg in your creation and the firefighters will drop if from the raised ladder truck! Put your thinking caps on and protect your egg at all costs! All adults and kids are welcome to participate! If you make it through the first round, you move on to the second round and we continue until only one egg is left not broken!\u00a0The winner will receive a Kindle Fire! There will be fire safety activities and fun stuff to do for\u00a0adults and children that evening too! Great event for the entire family! So call or stop into the library and sign up to create your \u201cegg-tastic\u201d safe container starting September 20!<\/p>\n

Book Talk-The Woman in Cabin 10: Looking for a good book to read? \u00a0How about joining our book talk as we will be reading,\u00a0The Woman in Cabin 10\u00a0by Ruth Ware on Wednesday October 18 at 6:30pm.\u00a0 Copies can be picked up now! \u00a0Discussion open to teens and adults! \u00a0So grab a\u00a0book, read it and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!<\/p>\n

Teen\/Adult Movie Night: We will be showing the movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming on Friday October 20 at 7:00pm! Popcorn as always will be provided; you bring your own beverage. It is rated PG-13, so only kids older than 13 will be allowed to watch unless they bring a parent or guardian.<\/p>\n

H. Russell Eastman Talk: Come hear Mr. Eastman talk about growing up on Good Luck Farm in Waterville, NY on Saturday October 21 at 1:00pm. Hear as he shares the history of this farm and other memories tidbits of a town not too far from Morrisville.<\/p>\n

Halloween Party: Wear your costumes and join us for a spooky celebration on Friday October 27 at 6:30pm! We will not only announce the winners of the pumpkin coloring contest, but play fun and games and make cool crafts too!<\/p>\n
