\"\"It\u2019s that time again\u2014The annual Friends of the Canastota Public Library Book Sale. This year, the Friends have gathered more than 3,000 books for the public to browse through and purchase.<\/p>\n

The sale is scheduled for Oct. 26, 27 and 28 at the Canastota Library at 102 W. Center St., Canastota.<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

A pre-sale for Friends of the Library members only will be held Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 3:30 to\u00a08 p.m. Friend\u2019s memberships\u00a0can be renewed at the library at any time prior to the sale date. The times for the rest of the week are as follows: Thursday: 9 am \u2013\u00a08:30 pm; Friday: 9 am \u2013 5 pm and Saturday: 10 am \u2013 4 pm.<\/p>\n

In addition to hardcover and paperback books, there will be Books on CD, DVDs, Audio Tapes, CDs, raffle baskets and much more.\u00a0It isn\u2019t too late to donate for this wonderful sale. Donations will be accepted until Oct. 18. Books should be in good condition and\u00a0no more than three years old. The Friends cannot accept encyclopedias, textbooks or anything that is moldy or damaged.<\/p>\n

The Friends of the Library is made up of volunteers who help to\u00a0prepare for and work the annual sale. The Friends also care for the\u00a0library garden. A local organization, Ralston\u2019s Supply Company, will
\nprovide the tables necessary to hold this event. If you are interested\u00a0in volunteering to work the sale, contact the library and we will forward your name to our Book Sale Committee.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the library\u2019s programs, collections and\u00a0enhance the building and services that the library offers.\u00a0For more information on the programs and events at the library, visit canastotalibrary.org or find us on Facebook.
