Claudia Tenney<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Today, Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) released the following statement on the proposed elimination of the Federal Deduction for State and Local Taxes:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs I\u2019ve said from day one, eliminating the federal deduction for state and local taxes will unfairly burden the over 3 million hardworking taxpayers in New York who claim the deduction. Until New York completely overhauls its tax code, removing this provision will strip primarily middle- and low-income New Yorkers of their only real tax relief. Throughout the negotiations on tax reform, I will continue to fight alongside my colleagues in New York to ensure this vitally important relief mechanism is in the final bill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0In June, Rep. Tenney co-signed a letter to Secretary Mnuchin, led by Rep.
