Last year, the Council\u2019s Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts collected over 30,000 items of food to benefit our local families in need. This year, this community service program is made possible in large part by a $5,000 grant from the M&amp;T\/Partners Trust Fund within the Community Foundation of Herkimer &amp; Oneida Counties, Inc.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_270083975658662898Default\">On\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_717341545\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Saturday, Nov. 4<\/span><\/span>, local Scouts will be leaving donation requests at the doors of homes throughout the Council\u2019s six-county area: Delaware, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida, Otsego and Schoharie counties. Residents are asked to place items of non-perishable food in Price Chopper bags and place them outside the door Saturday, Nov. 11. This food will be collected by the Scouts and then redistributed to local food banks.<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_270083975658662898Default\">If Scouts cannot make it to your home and you wish to contribute food items to this worthy cause, feel free to drop the items off at the locations below Nov. 18:<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>Drop-offs may be made by appointment at Caz Cares, Cazenovia, and the Mustard Seed in Georgetown.
