The artists, Susan Johnson and Wayne Daniels, take inspiration from the natural beauty of rural Cazenovia and vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson says \u201cLiving in beautiful Central New York there is always outdoor beauty to inspire my work.\u00a0 Cazenovia Lake, local architecture, our village streets, boats, farm fields and scenic vistas all provide subject matter for my oil canvases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Daniels describes himself as a &#8216;contemporary realist painter with influences from 17th-century Dutch painting and American realist painting.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy paintings are built up of many translucent glazes to maximize depth and luminosity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A reception for the artists will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the library, 2106 Main Street, New Woodstock. The exhibit will be open to the public during all regular library hours.<\/p>\n<p>The library is open\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985054\">Monday<\/span>\u00a0through\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985055\">Friday<\/span>\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985056\">1 to 5 p.m.<\/span>,\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985057\">Monday<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985058\">Wednesday<\/span>\u00a0evenings\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_1160985059\">7 to 9 p.m.<\/span>\u00a0and Saturdays from 10 until 1.
