It controls the destitute masses through melodic chimes played morning and night to mute memory and pacify resistance. Simon, however, still has the gift of memory, which stirs the plot and leads to insurrection. Herzog will introduce after discussion the latest research on the genetic and environmental sources of memory<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5326845360702203603gmail-MsoNormal\">Future discussions will focus on \u201cLab Girl\u201d by Hope Jahren (<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_289288937\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Feb. 15<\/span><\/span>); \u201cThe Eleventh Plague\u201d by John S. Marr (<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_289288938\"><span class=\"aQJ\">March 22<\/span><\/span>); and \u201cThe Genesis Code\u201d by John Case (<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_289288939\"><span class=\"aQJ\">April 19<\/span><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"m_-5326845360702203603gmail-MsoNormal\">The program is free and open to all adults, but pre-registration for the programs is strongly recommended.
