Babcock, 22, of Felts Mills, was arrested on nine counts of second-degree rape, a class D felony; and five counts of third-degree rape, a class E felony, following a grand jury indictment in Jefferson County Court.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest is a result of a sex assault investigation conduct by the state Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Watertown.<\/p>\n<p>Babcock is accused of engaging in forcible sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 15 over a period of several years.<\/p>\n<p>Babcock was remanded to Jefferson County Correctional Facility on $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bail bond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jefferson County man arrested on rape charges On Jan. 17, 2018,\u00a0Thurman T.
