Russo, 26, of Lakeland, for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-88869 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201812-300x145.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201812-300x145.jpg 300w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201812-150x72.jpg 150w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201812-400x193.jpg 400w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201812.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at approximately 8 p.m., troopers from SP Hastings were dispatched to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident involving a blue colored Hyundai that occurred on Interstate 81 in the town of Hastings.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect vehicle was then observed traveling northbound on I-81. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the driver refused to comply.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-88870 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201840-300x203.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201840-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201840-150x101.jpg 150w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201840-400x270.jpg 400w, https:\/\/madisoncountycourier.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/20180225_201840.jpg 576w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The pursuit ended when the vehicle became stuck in traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The operator of the Hyundai, later identified as Michael Russo, was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n<p>Russo was arraigned in Richland Town Court and was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond with a return court date of Feb. 28, 2018.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Driver charged with DWI and fleeing from police following a hit-and-run accident State Police arrested\u00a0Michael P.
