She was officially named to the position following a competitive recruitment process. Cayea was most recently the Chief Executive Officer at Elderwood at Wheatfield. She will replace Ann Tonzi as the chief executive officer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Board of Directors is pleased to announce Shannon Cayea\u2019s appointment to this position.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cShannon is an experienced administrator with a breadth of healthcare experience,&#8221; said Rudolph von Bernuth, HPCI\u2019s board president. &#8220;Her years of experience in healthcare and her ability to lead an organization will enhance Hospice\u2019s position within our healthcare community and at the state level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cayea holds a master of science degree in public health administration from the New School University in Manhattan and a bachelor of science in geriatric psychology from the State University of New York College at Brockport.
