Whether it\u2019s going to work, the grocery store, or transporting farm products, reliable roads get us where we need to go, and this funding makes sure local taxpayers don\u2019t have to foot the bill.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Assembly\u2019s plan provides $519 million for the Consolidated Local Highway and Street Improvement Program, an increase of $81 million over the executive state budget proposal. The funding is in addition to $100 million for the PAVE-NY program, which is funded through the CHIPs formula. CHIPs helps local governments make much-needed repairs and upgrades to local infrastructure without burdening local taxpayers.
