Congresswoman Claudia Tenney is an advocate of Second Amendment issues in Washington; she cosponsored the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act that would allow law-abiding gun owners with a state-issued concealed carry license or permit to conceal a handgun in any other state that allows concealed carry. In Albany, Tenney held an A rating from the NRA, a 100-percent rating from NYSCOPE, a 100-percent rating from Gun Owners of America, an A-plus rating from NYS Rifle & Pistol Association and was the first to introduce the full repeal of the SAFE Act.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

UMWA 717 endorses Claudia Tenney for re-election<\/strong><\/p>\n

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney accepted the endorsement of the United Mine Workers of America Local 717, the union that represents Remington Arms employees.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to accept the endorsement of UMWA Local 717,\u201d Tenney said. \u201cFailed economic policies and gun-grabbing measures have been tough on this iconic company; however, it has been my privilege to work closely with the hardworking employees at Remington and advocate for their needs both in Albany and in Washington.<\/p>\n

\u201cI stood by Remington employees and their families during lay-offs, the implementation of the job-killing SAFE Act and crushing taxes and regulations that drove jobs at the Ilion plant out of our state. I will continue to stand up for the Second Amendment and fight for Remington employees and their families in Congress.<\/p>\n
