Please help us\u00a0Sound the Alarm\u00a0by volunteering to install smoke alarms in your community, making a financial contribution, or taking steps to protect your own family from home fires.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0Sound the Alarm\u00a0kickoff event will take place at the Central New York Chapter,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=344+West+Genesee+Street&amp;entry=gmail&amp;source=g\">344 West Genesee Street<\/a>\u00a0in Syracuse, at\u00a010am\u00a0on Wednesday, April 11. Several members of the Regional\u00a0Sound the Alarm\u00a0Cabinet, listed below, are expected to attend, as well as Red Cross staff, board members, and volunteers. Other\u00a0partners working with the Red Cross include: National Fire Adjustment, Inc.; National Grid; CNY Community Foundation, Inc.; Corning Foundation; Lewis Tree Service; Pyramid <!--more-->Management Group, Dryden Mutual Insurance Co., Stephanie S. Kata Foundation; and Greater Rochester Health Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, the Red Cross will\u00a0Sound the Alarm\u00a0through a series of smoke alarm installation and fire safety events in more than 100-high-risk communities. From\u00a0April 28 through May 13, Red Cross volunteers and partners will install 100,000 free smoke alarms. These events are related to the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign, which since 2014 has helped save lives through smoke alarm installations and home fire safety education in thousands of communities.<\/p>\n<p>The Home Fire Campaign is making a difference.
