Valesky<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Senate passes Valesky bill to designate Cazenovia Lake and Chittenango Creek as inland waterways<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The state Senate June 4 passed legislation sponsored by Sen. David J. Valesky (D \u2013 Oneida) that would add Cazenovia Lake and Chittenango Creek to the definition of inland waterway. This designation would allow municipalities located along those waterways to apply for waterfront revitalization funding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis bill help protect these natural resources as well as provide opportunities for funding and grant resources,\u201d Valesky said.<\/p>\n<p>The bill passed the Assembly April 25. It now awaits delivery to Gov.
