Carl D. Stearns, partner emeritus and consultant at the architectural and\u00a0historical preservation firm Crawford & Stearns will guide a walking\u00a0architectural tour of Morrisville\u2019s historic buildings in the village center on\u00a0Wednesday, June 27 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Sponsored by the Morrisville Historic Preservation Commission, the historical\u00a0and architectural tour will begin in the charming neo-Gothic style Morrisville\u00a0Public Library located on Main Street (State Route 20, opposite Madison Hall) at\u00a07 p.m. Stearns will provide an introduction to the tour and \u201cset the stage\u201d as he\u00a0put it, with historical and architectural background information.<\/p>\n

Stearns, a licensed architect with an advanced degree in preservation planning,\u00a0is a partner emeritus in Crawford &amp; Stearns in Syracuse who specializes in\u00a0architectural conservation and restoration, historic assessments of buildings and\u00a0adaptive reuse of historic properties. He formerly served as the senior historic\u00a0sites restoration coordinator for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation\u00a0and Historic Preservation. Mr. Stearns has served as guest lecturer throughout\u00a0the state and has been a very active participant in the New York State Barn Coalition.<\/p>\n

During the walking tour, Stearns will highlight the various architectural styles\u00a0and features of the many interesting buildings in Morrisville.<\/p>\n
