Hertel, Sr., Whitelaw Old Home Day parade coordinator, implores people to attend this year\u2019s festivities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease attend this year\u2019s crown jewel event \u2013 the 60th annual Whitelaw Old Home Day,\u201d Hertel said. \u201cThe theme is \u201960 diamond years in Whitelaw.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Old Home Day will be held Aug 4, 2018, with the parade stepping off at 11 a.m. As in other years, the event features the \u2018famous\u2019 Bach\/Dunbar chicken barbecue from 3 to 6 p.m. and entertainment all day into the evening.<\/p>\n<p>There will be food, soda and water booths, a \u2018fancy work\u2019 booth, molasses baked goods, an ice cream wagon, homemade pies, old-fashioned country store, arcade games, church booths, Little Red Wagon rides, a bouncy house and other vendors.<\/p>\n<p>The event culminates with the Erick D.
