Butler, 42, of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=4851+Rich+Road,+Morrisville,+NY&amp;entry=gmail&amp;source=g\">4851 Rich Road, Morrisville<\/a>, on charges of third-degree welfare fraud (class D felony), first-degree offering a false instrument for filing (class E felony) and third-degree grand larceny (class D felony).<\/p>\n<p>It is alleged when Butler applied for public assistance, she knowingly presented a document to the Madison County Department of Social Services that failed to report all of her household income; due to this fraudulent act, Butler received $14,504 in public assistance between the dates of June 1, 2015, and April 30, 2018, which she would not have received if she did not report the false information.<\/p>\n<p>Butler was arraigned in Lenox Town Court and released on her own recognizance; she was directed to return at 9 a.m. Aug. 14, 2018, to answer the charges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Morrisville woman charged with welfare fraud Madison County Sheriff\u2019s Office investigators arrested Dorothy A.
