Stewart\u2019s Shops to sponsor \u201cAnimals of Halloween\u201d with Friends of Rogers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Celebrate unique forest friends during this year\u2019s \u201cAnimals of Halloween\u201d beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 20 at Rogers\u00a0Environmental Education Center in Sherburne. Hosted by Friends of Rogers, this annual festival features wilderness visits\u00a0with creatures who \u2013 because of where they are often located \u2013 represent earth\u2019s elements such as fire, water, wind\u00a0and sky.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur featured animals this year reflect the variety of habitats on Mother Earth,\u201d said Marissa Nolan, Friends of Rogers\u00a0senior educator. \u201cAll of these animals have specific adaptations to help them flourish in a specific eco system. We hope\u00a0visitors gain a new appreciation of these fascinating organisms.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanks to Stewart\u2019s Shops, tasty refreshments will be available for purchase, and Friends of Rogers will be selling\u00a0campfire s\u2019mores for roasting.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely grateful to have Stewart\u2019s Shops sponsor this year\u2019s celebration again,\u201d said Simon Solomon,\u00a0executive director. \u201cTheir generosity allows Friends of Rogers to host this popular community festival. The engaging\u00a0activities, interactive demonstrations, and live music we have lined up will appeal to guests of all ages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogers Center is operated by Friends of Rogers\u00a0Environmental\u00a0Education Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization that\u00a0offers educational programs for all ages. Seasonal hours are from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday,\u00a0and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
