Messer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Fall Festival Weekend Oct. 6 and 7<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Friends of the Old Town of Eaton Museum will host Fall Festival History Weekend Saturday and Sunday Oct. 6 and 7.<\/p>\n<p>The Old Auction Barn on Route 26 will host a garage sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The garage sale will be \u201cpay what you want.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also on Saturday, there will be craft and bake sales featuring many hops-related products including pillows, tee shirts, table toppers and much more.<\/p>\n<p>As usual, all proceeds benefit the Old Town Museum. As a special treat, historian Back Street Mary will be giving a fall history tour of the Historic Eaton Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday will feature lectures on area Landmarks, including one on Brown\u2019s Free Hall with a guest speaker at 1 p.m. at the auction barn.<\/p>\n<p>Back Street Mary will be speaking on the Morse House and more at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The museum will be open for extended hours from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, and Back Street Mary will be there from 3 to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>This event will close out a successful Memorial Day celebration and summer lecture series.<\/p>\n<p>The museum will be closing for the season, but, as always, the Saturday-before-Thanksgiving Pie Sale will be on with gifts and pies and baked goods for all.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, visit the museum Face Book Page at Friends of the Old Town of Eaton Museum, or email <a href=\"mailto:backstreetmary@yahoo.com\">backstreetmary@yahoo.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fall Festival Weekend Oct. 6 and 7 The Friends of the Old Town of Eaton Museum will host Fall Festival History Weekend Saturday and Sunday Oct. 6 and 7.
