We are so sorry, but due to lack of RSVP volunteers, the\nlibrary will not be able to have our Tax Prep for Senior Citizens program this\nyear. You can still get your taxes done in Morrisville; you just need to call\nCornell Cooperative Extension at 315.684.3001 to make an appointment and meet\nthere to do your taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, for Valentine Cards & Treats\nat 6:30 p.m. (There is a snow date of Saturday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., just in case.)\nCome make two valentines for a special someone and two sweet treat holders, too.\nCost is $10 per set of four activities (payable the night of the program). Jackie\nGroves of Librarystampers Creations will demonstrate how to use stamps and\nother tools to create these unique items. This is open to ages 12 and up (but\nif someone younger wants to participate, they may do so with a parent or guardian\npresent.). We must have five people signed up to have this event, so sign up now\nat the circulation desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bring the little ones in for Kiddies Korner, our preschool story\nhour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10 a.m. Help us have fun with \u201cYummy\nChocolate.\u201d Stories, finger plays, a craft and more. If you cannot make that day,\njoin us Tuesday, Feb. 19, for \u201cFly Me to the Moon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, we will be having our Adulting 101-Topic:\nBasics of Sewing Part 1 which was rescheduled from Jan. 9. Don\u2019t know how to\nsew? Need to remember how? This is for you. Learn the basics of sewing and\nleave with your own potholder created by you. If you have a sewing machine or\ncan borrow one, please bring it. All participants need to bring one-half yard\nof material, as well. All other materials will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us Tuesday, Feb. 19, and Wednesday, Feb. 20, for our\nMovie Matinee Days at 2 p.m. We will be showing The Nutcracker and the Four\nRealms (PG) on Tuesday and the 2018 version of The Grinch (PG) on Wednesday. Popcorn\nis free; bring your own beverage. Parents, please make arrangements with the library\nmanager (mrounds@midyork.org) if you want to leave your children for the movie\nand come back after.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, join us for our Book Talk at 6:30\np.m. The book we plan to read is William Kent Krueger\u2019s book, Ordinary Grace. Stop\nin and get your copy today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, Feb. 21, we have the pleasure of a state police\nK-9 demonstration at 2 p.m. Come and see the state police Troop D K9 Unit do a\nK9 demonstration. Open to all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, Feb. 22, come join us for Fun with Chocolate at 2\np.m. Come learn and have fun and, of course, eat chocolate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us Friday, Feb. 22, for our Teen\/Adult Movie Night at 7\np.m. We will be showing Bohemian Rhapsody. This is rated PG-13, so no one under\nthe age of 13 will be allowed to view the movie without a parent or guardian. Bring\nyour own beverage; popcorn is on us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, Feb. 23, is our Nerf Battle Night for ages 10\nand up from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts, too\u2013please\nlabel them) and join us for open play around the library. Bring your own snacks\nand beverages. All participants must sign up in the library and get a\npermission slip to return completed the night of. We only have 16 spaces, so\nsign up now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be closed Monday, Feb. 18, in observance of\nPresident\u2019s Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon to 8 p.m.,\nTuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
