Over the last few weeks the\nOneida City Police Department\u2019s Juvenile Aid Unit, along with the Madison\nCounty Child Advocacy Center, have been conducting an investigation into\nreports of illegal sexual conduct with minors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was discovered that victims with an age range of about 11 to 17 years of age were subjected to sexual conduct by the suspect, Daniel Hatch, 38, of Oneida. During the course of this investigation, it was reported and alleged that Daniel Hatch would engage in inappropriate activity, which often times included sexual contact and conduct with many of the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, the\nsuspect was interviewed and was subsequently arrested and charged for the\nalleged conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of publication, Hatch has been charged with a single\ncount each of first-degree criminal sex act (a B felony), first-degree sexual\nabuse (a D felony), third-degree criminal sex act (an E felony) and forcible\ntouching, an A misdemeanor. Hatch also was charged with two counts of\nunlawfully dealing with a minor and 10 counts of endangering the welfare of a\nchild, both class A misdemeanors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hatch was arraigned in Oneida\nCity Court and remanded to the Madison County Jail in lieu of a cumulative\ntotal of $115,000 cash bail or $225,000 bail bond. He was ordered to return to\nOneida City Court at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oneida City Court also issued orders of protection on behalf\nof victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oneida City Police have reason\nto believe that there may be other victims of these crimes; Chief Paul Thompson\nsaid he urges anyone who may have been a victim or who may know of anyone who\nmay have been a victim, to contact Inv.
