In honor of April being Poetry Month, Renée Roman Nose will read poetry from her newly released book, “Sweet Grass Talking,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Canastota Public Library.

Roman Nose published “Sweet Grass Talking” in 2017 with Uttered Chaos Press. Her untitled second book in production is a collaboration with fellow poet Suzan Harjo.

Roman Nose is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes of Oklahoma. She is a motivational speaker, artist, activist, actor, poet, photographer and cultural anthropologist; she has appeared in films and commercials, modeled and performed voice work.

She is president of Fierce Courage, which provides team building, wellness facilitation, diversity training, motivational speaking and poetry workshops.

The Canastota Public Library is located at 102 W. Center St., Canastota. This Author Talk is open to the public.
