On Saturday, May 25, 2019, the Madison County Courthouse will have a grand re-opening after one-and-a-half years of restoration. A special guided tour of the newly renovated courthouse will be offered that will feature the history of the building and the efforts made to restore key historic aspects, including the stained glass windows, marble flooring, portraits of Madison County judges and more.

Attendees will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the new portions of the building, the redesigned courtrooms and offices and hear from retired judges who worked in the courthouse.

Guided tours will begin at 2 p.m. and start every 15 minutes until 5 p.m. The tours will take approximately one hour. If you would like to avoid lines and get a guaranteed spot, visit the Madison County website to sign up for a time slot while they are available.
