On Feb. 12, 2020, at 5:26 p.m., deputies with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office responded to 7264 Patane Drive in Lenox for a reported burglary in progress.

The homeowner stated William A. Kaulback, 31, of Bridgeport, was at the residence in violation of a stay-away order of protection.

Upon arrival, deputies located Kaulback sitting on a chair under one of the windows to the residence.

Kaulback was taken into custody and, upon further investigation, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both class E felonies; and second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree criminal trespass, both class A misdemeanors.

Kaulback was arraigned in Lenox Town Court where he was remanded to the Madison County Jail without bail.
