(Hamilton, NY – Aug. 2013) The Madison County Conservative Party has endorsed the candidacy of Denise Roe for Madison County Clerk for the Nov. 5 election. Roe has served as deputy clerk for the past eight years, implementing processes that improved accuracy, efficiency and accessibility of public and non-public records.
The County Clerk’s office manages land-related records, court, business, governmental and historical documents. It is an agent of the state for the Department of Motor Vehicles and U.S. Department of State for passports.
The County Clerk also balances millions of dollars annually for the state, county and towns. Roe has more than 30 years’ experience and continuing education in financial and business administration. She has owned or managed several successful businesses in the county.
In addition, she is a voice for Madison County in Albany through active board memberships in the Regional NYS Archives Advisory Board and the New York State Association of County Clerks. Roe has 20-plus years’ experience in grants development, archival expertise, facilitating change and supervisory experience.
Roe is a lifelong resident of Madison County. She and her husband Phil have raised two sons in Hamilton. She is a member of the Madison County Board of Ethics and has supported community development through past active board memberships in the Madison County Historical Society, Partnership for Community Development, Southern Madison County Chamber of Commerce, SUNY Employee Assistance Program, Executive Committee Revolutionary Trails Boys Scouts Council and various civic and church boards.
