On May 12, State Police charged Hannibal School District bus driver William E. Combes III, 26, of Martville, with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor. Combes stands accused of having telephonic communication with a female student outside of school hours and picking her up from her residence without parental knowledge or consent.
Combes is scheduled to appear in Hannibal Town Court May 23 at 7 p.m.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with additional information regarding Combes is asked to contact State Police at (315) 598-2112.
