Myers Affirms Commitment to Congressional Office in Utica

During a news conference Monday in Utica outside the Stanley Theatre, Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri, New York State Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi (119th District-Utica), and other Oneida County-area elected officials and organizations endorsed Kim Myers for Congress. Myers also affirmed her commitment to serving the people of Oneida County by pledging to place a Congressional office in Utica to serve constituents.

“Over the last several months, we have had the opportunity to get to know Kim Myers. We believe she understands the issues and concerns of residents of the 22nd Congressional District. She understands the Greater Utica area is a significant part of the district and if elected, she plans to open an office in Utica to hear the concerns of area residents. Constituent service is a very important part of being a Member of Congress, and Kim Myers has pledged to make it a priority. Kim Myers is the candidate that best reflects the values of the people who live in the Utica area and the Mohawk Valley, and today we are enthusiastically endorsing her in the November 8th General Election to represent us in Congress,” said Palmieri and Brindisi in a joint statement.

“Whether it’s supporting the new nanotech project, protecting Rome Labs, or investing in our infrastructure, Oneida County representatives know how to put aside their political differences and move forward on the things that matter,” said Myers. “That’s the kind of approach that I will take to Congress. I thank Mayor Palmieri, Assemblyman Brindisi and others for their kind words today and I am so proud to be endorsed by so many amazing Oneida County elected officials and organizations.”
