Oneida police patchby Lt. Paul Thompson

The Oneida Police Department has responded to an increase in the number of calls related to the theft of property from parked motor vehicles.

The Oneida Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors to the city to lock their motor vehicles while not attended.

Valuables should be removed from parked vehicles if at all possible. If valuables must be kept in a vehicle, they should be stored in the trunk or otherwise out of sight in the locked vehicle.
