Cazenovia Public Library to Host Coding Workshop for Children

The Cazenovia Public Library will partner with Apple, Inc. to present “Coding with Sphero” on Wednesday, May 23, at 3:30 p.m., in the Community Room. Kids ages 7-12 are invited to join Children’s Program Coordinator Jenna Wright Martin for a fun, hands-on introduction to programming and robotics.

Participants will explore the basics of coding with Sphero SPRK+ educational robots. The small robot ball was designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and invention through play and coding. Powered by the Sphero Edu app, the robot helps children learn programming, complete hands-on activities, and share their creations with the community. Children will work in small groups to write computer programs that control how the Sphero rolls and appears. Apple, Inc. will provide iPads and robots. Registration is requested. Call or stop by the Library to reserve a spot.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
