The Lost Battalion to be shown at the Cazenovia Public Library

This fall, the Cazenovia Public Library will present a special series of films and programs commemorating the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. Head to the Community Room Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., for a free screening of The Lost Battalion (2001).

Set in 1918 during the final months of World War I, the made-for-television movie tells the true story of more than 500 American infantrymen who were separated from their regiment and surrounded by German forces in the Argonne Forest. Cut off from supply and communication lines, the soldiers bravely held their positions, suffering terrible losses in the process.

The film is rated TV-14 and runs 92 minutes. Free popcorn provided. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Cazenovia Public Library. All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315.655.9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
