Syracuse woman arrested after troopers find her asleep and parked in the middle of I-81
On Nov. 15, 2015, at approximately 3 a.m., Troopers responded to reckless driving complaint on I-81 near exit 42 in the town of Adams. When troopers arrived, they located the vehicle parked in the center of the southbound lane facing northbound.
The operator, Sebrina L. Lysyczyn-Cronin was found asleep behind the steering wheel.
Lysyczyn-Cronin, 55, of Syracuse, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated (an unclassified misdemeanor), making an illegal u-turn, unsafe lane change and parking on a highway, all violations.
She was transported to SP Watertown for processing and submitted to a chemical test, which resulted in a blood alcohol content of .18 percent; she was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Adams Town Court Nov. 28, 2018, at 7 p.m.
