(Dec. 2014) The Crane Symphony Orchestra from SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music was invited to perform at the New York State School Music Association Winter Conference in Rochester. Eighty students presented Edward Elgar’s “Enigma Variations” Dec. 4 in the opening concert.
Included in the performance were local students Derek Sager of Bridgeport (French horn) and Jenelle Yeoman of Oneida (clarinet).
The Crane Symphony Orchestra performed in the Rochester Convention Center Lilac Ballroom. The NYSSMA Winter Conference attracts 4,000 participants each year, for nearly 200 workshops and showcases on music education.
