(Herkimer, Madison County, NY – July 2015) On June 29, 10 youth from Herkimer and Madison County attended at 4-H Rabbit Showmanship Clinic held at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County.
Madeleine Williams, a veteran 4-H rabbit showman from Oneida County conducted the clinic and showed participants how to properly exhibit their rabbit in a 4-H rabbit showmanship class. After they were shown the basics of showmanship, then it was the participants turn to show off what they learned. With Madeleine acting as the judge, each 4-H member brought their rabbit up and exhibited it as they would in a show.
Clinics like this are offered to 4-H members throughout the year to teach them more about the 4-H projects that they are involved in. To learn more about this and the other programs that 4-H offers, please contact Jennifer Collins at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Herkimer County at 866-7920.
