On April 28, 2016, at approximately 11:15am, State Police responded to the Macy’s department store located in the Great Northern Mall regarding a shoplifting incident involving two females.
The store security officer was able to stop one of the two females after they left the store with stolen merchandise totaling $685. The other female suspect left the area in a dark-colored sedan prior to patrol’s arrival.
Troopers arrested 22-year –old, Kacia S. Baker, from 4664 Post Road in Manlius for petit larceny, a class “A” misdemeanor.
The other female suspect was later identified as 23-year-old Celine M. Danciu of 2132 Main St., New Woodstock. Danciu, who left the store operating a 1996 Honda Accord, was involved in a property damage accident at approximately 4:05 p.m., on State Route 92 in the town of Manlius.
The accident investigation revealed Danciu was southbound on State Route 92 when she rear-ended a 2010 Subaru Outback, operated by Calvin English, 55, of Cazenovia. Danciu was taken into custody at the accident scene and charged with petit larceny. She was taken into custody at the accident scene and charged with petit .arceny. Both women were issued appearance tickets in Clay Town Court for May 10 at 5 p.m.
