JUBERVILLE-CAROL-859_VXUHKBEBRev. Carol Jubenville will start July 7 “Worship Without Walls” at the CNY Veteran’s Outreach Center

Rev. Carol Jubenville, a pastor, knew that God was calling her to ‘step out in the world’ to be God’s hands and feet but more importantly, be God’s heart.  In a world where so many people are feeling that the church is letting them down or that the church is sitting in judgment, Rev. Carol felt called to step outside of the church walls and be a presence of love and care in Utica without thinking of denomination or where they worship or if they worshiped. “Go be where the people are….” was the call.

We often think of church as a building and for many people they worship only on Sunday’s. Jesus spent much of his time with those who felt disconnected from God, from community and from any faith.  Right here in Utica, there are many people, from all walks of life that are feeling disconnected from their faith communities.  They are lonely and disillusioned.  They are cynical about God and the way their lives are turning out. They do not feel love and in some cases cannot express love to others.

Worship Without Walls offers a time once a week to show God’s love to all people.

Every Thursday from 12:00-1:00 tables will be assembled in front of the Veterans Outreach Center located at 726 Washington Street in downtown Utica.  Sandwiches, bottled water, a gift and a blessing table will be available for anyone who wishes to stop by and say hello, shake hands or express the desire for a prayer and conversation.
