Rotarians enjoyed meeting District 7150 Governor Peter Cardamone during their weekly meeting on Tuesday. Roger Skinner, club member helped to make the introduction. “The district governor has been here before, and he enjoyed it, and he is excited to be coming here again, and we are glad to have him visit,” Skinner said. The District Governor encouraged the already enthusiastic group to continue the traditions and high standards of service above self-set by Rotary International.

During the meeting Club Leadership discussed the clubs plans for the upcoming year which include a Back to School Supply Drive starting in August where donated school supplies can be dropped off at Remington Federal Credit Union in Ilion, and a golf tournament at Pine Hills, Frankfort in September to raise funds for its local community service projects.

At the meeting Club Leadership presented the District Governor with a donation for Rotary and its partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. “The success we saw in the fight to end polio this year, with polio-free milestones reached in Nigeria and the African continent — wouldn’t be possible without the support of health workers, local governments, Rotary and Global Polio Eradication Initiative partners” said Cardamone.
