The Mohawk Valley Breastfeeding Network announces the grand opening of its new Downtown Breastfeeding Café, on Friday, August 26th from 12 to 2pm, at the Utica Library, 303 Genesee St. The Breastfeeding Café is located in the Children’s area downstairs.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 12:30 and all are invited to attend. All breastfeeding families, families expecting a baby and breastfeeding supporters are encouraged to come and help us celebrate.
The Downtown Breastfeeding Café is a meeting space for pregnant and breastfeeding moms to support one another, socialize and get breastfeeding clinical support if needed. The Café will continue to meet the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month and all are welcome.
The café will provide light refreshments, a weigh station and an opportunity for socialization. There will always be a trained breastfeeding helper to assist families with concerns.
