Our 14th Annual Pumpkin Coloring Contest has begun! Stop in to the library and pick up your pumpkin coloring contest entry! You have until October 22 at 4pm to turn in your creations for judging. Open to toddler to 6th graders! Winners will be announced at our Halloween party at the end of the month.
Be sure to join us on Thursday October 6 for our Essential Oils Class at 6:30pm. Join Robin Suarez as she helps us to better our lives naturally. Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in flowers, seeds, bark, roots and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.
Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour is back! Bring your toddler or preschool child in on Tuesday October 11 at 10:00am. Help us have fun with “Will You Be My Friend?” Stories, finger plays, a craft and more! If you cannot make that day, please join us on October 18 for stories about “Colors and Shapes of my World!”
Be sure to join us on Friday October 14 for our WWII Vet, Stan Davis Talk at 6:30pm. Davis was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army Air Corps in the European Theatre during WWII. He served as a Crew Chief on P47 style planes as well serving as an engineer on C47 transport planes. He also was an amateur photographer who took and collected over 700 photos of his time overseas. Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz recently digitized these images and will feature a number of these images as part of the talk. Davis will talk about his experiences and the photos.
On Friday October 21 please join us for our Family Movie Night at 7:00pm. Popcorn will be provided! Just bring your own beverage! We will be showing, Ice Age 5: Collision Course!
