Looking for something new to do with your kids during school break? Join us for one of our zoo-rific education programs! Join us Friday, Nov. 10, at 1:30 p.m., for our first Go Green Family Program! Learn all about recycling and how you can take care of our planet from your own home. This class will be offered every month with different recycling and conservation topics each session. This month’s class will include a presentation from the Solid Waste Authority, animal meet and greets and recycling-based activities. The cost of the program is $5 per person for members and $10 per person for nonmembers.

On Saturday, Nov. 25, at 1:30 p.m., celebrate the season of giving with our Symbiosis Family Program! Symbiosis is how two different organisms interact in their environment to survive and thrive. Come and learn how our animals work together here at the zoo! The cost of the program is $5 per person for members and $10 per person for nonmembers.

On Friday, Dec. 15, at 4 p.m., we will be holding a special Go Green class for the holidays! This month’s topic is green gifting! Come and learn how you can help reduce waste during the busiest shopping time of the year. Meet some animals up close and enjoy a holiday treat! The cost of the program is $5.00 per person for members and $10 per person for nonmembers.

On Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 10:30 a.m., we will be holding our special Holiday Zoo Adventures program. Join our class as we explore the world through storybooks. Zoo Adventures includes a story reading, animal meet and greet, and activity. The cost to participate in programs is only $5 per child for members and $10 per child for nonmembers. Accompanying adults are free.

On Thursday, Dec. 28, get ready to stomp and roar for our Dinosaur Roar Zoo Camp! During this half-day camp, we will explore the prehistoric world of dinosaurs and meet some of their animal relatives! This camp is open for kids in kindergarten through second grade and runs from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $25 per child for members and $30 per child for nonmembers.

On Friday, Dec. 29, learn all about invasive species at our Alien Invaders Zoo Camp! Invasive species are organisms that live in non-native environments and cause a lot of damage to ecosystems. This camp is open for kids from third through fifth grade and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $40 per child for members and $45 per child for nonmembers. Be sure to pack a lunch!
