Members of the New York State Police’s Community Narcotics Enforcement Team recently arrested two individuals following the execution of a search warrant at 404 Square St., Utica.
During a search of the Square Street residence, state police members located more than four ounces of cocaine, drug paraphernalia and more than $2,500 in U.S. currency.
Two people were located within the residence and identified as 30-year-old Robel E. Ventura-Veras, a Pennsylvania resident; and 34-year-old Wascar Javier, a citizen of the Dominican Republic.
They were both charged with one count each of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A-2 felony; and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony.
Both were arraigned at the Oneida County Centralized arraignment center and remanded to the Oneida County Jail without bail.
