Rep. Anthony Brindisi, Sen. Joseph Griffo and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente are featured speakers at an upcoming AAA New York State – sponsored autonomous vehicle summit.
Brindisi, Griffo and Picente will present the federal, state and county perspectives on the future of self-driving vehicles in this country.
Brindisi, Griffo and Picente will join New York municipal planners, transportation professionals, business leaders and lawmakers to discuss how autonomous vehicles will transform the state’s economy, transportation infrastructure and how New York policymakers should facilitate this new technology.
Entitled “Navigating Our Transportation Future: Preparing New York for Autonomous Vehicles,” the forum will take place from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday May 3, 2019, at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica.
Lunch will be served.
In addition to the elected leaders, Amy Lopez from INRIX, Professor Mark Geistfeld from NYU Law School, Mike Shamma from Sam Schwartz Transportation Consultants, Joah Sapphire from Buffalo University, John Nielson from AAA National and Dana Crisino – Oneida County Transportation Planner, will be among the speakers at the conference in Utica.
