The Cazenovia Public Library will host “Mid-Century Main Street” — a presentation by Sarah Tietje-Mietz, Assistant Director of the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park. The lecture, focused on local mid-century architecture, will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 in the Community Room.

Tietje-Mietz has a background in studio arts and historic preservation, and she is currently pursuing a master’s in arts journalism from Syracuse University. She loves telling the stories of the built world and connecting people and places through these stories. She lives in Cazenovia with her husband, Ralph and dog, Badger.

During her presentation, Tietje-Mietz will discuss the various design changes made to local main streets in the 1950s.

All events at the Cazenovia Public Library are free and open to the public. For more information, call 315-655-9322 or visit cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
