Utica man arrested for possessing over a pound of marijuana following a traffic stop on the Thruway
On May 15, 2019, at approximately 9:56 p.m., state police
stopped a motorcycle on I-90 in the town of Guilderland for a vehicle and
traffic violation. The driver, Julius J. Labeda, 38, of Utica, had a suspended
license. During an inventory, approximately 1.4 pounds of marijuana was
discovered.
Labeda was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany where he
was subsequently charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a
class D felony; second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, an unclassified misdemeanor
and vehicle and traffic violations.
Labeda was transported and remanded to the Albany County Jail to await arraignment.
