On Friday, June 7, at 6:30 p.m., join us for our last historic talk until fall. The topic: Things You Might Not Know about Morrisville. Sue Greenhagen, town and village historian, will be presenting a talk on things you might not know about Morrisville. Come learn some interesting tidbits about our village.
Be sure to join us for Book Creations at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12. Come make a “book creation” out of recycled books as Robin Branch-Staelens shows us how. Open to all ages, but anyone under 10 should come with a parent/guardian.
Join us for our last NERF Battle Night until fall. Bring your own Nerf equipment (darts, too–lease label them) and join us for open play around the library from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 14. See if the library stacks provide you enough shelter from being hit by a friend’s foam dart. Open to ages 10 and up, so adults are welcome, too. Everyone must bring a snack and a drink. Only 14 spaces are available. All participants must sign up in the library and get a permission slip to return completed the night of. We will not allow people to complete permission slips at the door.
Looking for a good book to read? How about joining our book talk at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, as we will be reading The Water Cure by Sophie Mackintosh. Copies can be picked up now, so grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure-to-be-fun discussion.
Come join us at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, for our Wine and Paint Night. Open to adults and kids 13 and older. If you don’t drink wine, we will have grape juice and of course, goodies for everyone too. Cost is $35 per person (payable the night of the program). Reservations are required. We must have 10 people to hold the class. We can have no more than 28, so space is limited. Sign up June 1 at the circulation desk. (The painting of what we will create will be posted at the desk when signing up.)
We still have some letters left… Help us decorate a letter for our Summer Reading banner. Stop in during library hours now and get a letter to take home and decorate. First-come, first-served. Open to kids ages 2 to 17. Letters due back to the library by June 14, 2019.
Don’t forget Mahjong has begun, so if you want to learn how to play or love the game, stop in every Monday from 1 to 3 p.m.
We started our summer hours Saturday May 25. That means we will be closed Saturdays through Labor Day. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
