On June 2, 2019, at approximately 3:34 a.m., stpte Police stopped a vehicle on I-90 in Liverpool for a vehicle-and-traffic violation.  While interviewing the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and the occupants was established.

The driver, Rebecca S. Bombaro, 39, of Auburn, Maine, was found to be in possession of a glass pipe containing burnt crack residue.

During the vehicle search, a 9mm handgun was discovered.  It was loaded with a 32-round capacity magazine.  Further investigation revealed the magazine was loaded with 20 9mm full-metal jacket rounds and one blue-tip 9mm hollow point bullet in the chamber.

Bombaro and her passenger Shai-Quan L. Moran-Stenson, 23, of Lewiston, Maine, were taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Syracuse.

The pair was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a loaded firearm (other than in a person’s home or business), a class C felony; criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of certain ammunition-feeding devices, a violation.

Additionally, Bombaro was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; and a vehicle-and-traffic law violation.

Moran-Stenson was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony, due to a previous conviction of a crime that prohibits him from possessing any weapons.

Both were remanded to Onondaga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond and are to appear in Liverpool Village Court June 7, 2019.
