During the next few hours, another concerned citizen in the Utica area called state police in North Syracuse reporting that he had viewed the same ad.

Contact was made immediately with St. Joseph’s security personnel, alerting them about the post on social media and the state police investigation.

On Monday, June 3, with assistance from the Craigslist legal department, BCI members identified and located 38-year-old Daniel W. Bradley of Syracuse, who was responsible for the advertisement.

Bradley was arrested on a charge of making a terroristic threat, a class D felony and was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center to await centralized arraignment.

Investigators determined the threat not to be credible.

State Police Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit, Syracuse Police Department and St. Joseph’s security and administration assisted with this investigation.
